Please help Las Vegas wedding for overs 100 guests

Nadine, on August 4, 2017 at 11:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

Hello all,

I'm new here. I literally just made my account 2 minutes ago. But I just can't find the right place to get information about a big Vegas wedding. There are so many options, so many sites but I want to hear from somebody personally that is having a Vegas wedding, maybe attended one in the past, or maybe already had one. Was it a nice wedding? Beautiful location? What was your budget? My budget will be around $10,000. Thank you for your help ladies I just want a location already ??

Have you tried vegas.com or a travel agent that works with wedding parties? They might have good info to try.

Also, men are on this site as well, not just "ladies".

I agree with @Lilly, I would try a travel agency. A lot of them will coordinate the wedding for you and have information on venues.

I'm a Vegas local, I was married here in 2009 and I'm in the process of planning another wedding. Between then and now I have seen a lot of venues.

Hi Nadine. I'm getting married in Vegas next summer.

It all depends on where in Vegas you want to have it. Are you trying to get married on or off strip? Price wise that'll make a huge difference.

Vegas has a lot of all inclusive packages, some more cheesy than others.

I'm getting married at the Aria and am having no more than 60 guests. However, I don't necessarily think the packages there would work for how much you're willing to pay and your potential guest count.

There are lots of beautiful lakes and event halls where you could have the wedding. I'd keep in mind that while Vegas does have some reasonably priced all-inclusive packages, the extras like hair, make up, flowers, dj, etc. can be somewhat costly because it's such a party city. Along those same lines, because its such a party city, vendors tend to book up fast. You do have some time, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'd check out the vendors tab on wedding wire and also use the search functions to find other topics regarding Vegas weddings. It's come up quite a bit.

ETA: I'll also note that most of the hotels have packages with the pricing and maximum capacity listed on their websites. Most of the websites are set up the exact same way and are pretty user friendly.

Just so you know, you don't have a date till you have a venue. And that's a very popular date next year, so I'd start booking asap.

Being flexible on the date can help you save $$.

If you're looking for a wedding on the strip, 10K is going to be ROUGH for 100 guests. We invited 53 (guesstimating 40-45 will come). Our Ceremony is at Tropicana which was one of the cheaper locations. Then we are doing an in-suite reception at Mandalay Bay. It is about $6000 just for a basic ceremony package, suite rental (you can't even fit 100 guests in a suite), and catered food (cake and alcohol excluded). This figure doesn't even include fees, tips, decor, music, attire, invites, booze, cake etc. you may want to rethink your guest list or "big wedding" expectations...

I second everyone saying that a 10k budget @ 100 people will be hard for a Strip wedding (or really any casino). I shopped around Vegas venues quite a bit and most start at $125/person for the basic, non luxury places.

Look at off-Strip venues. Most are all-inclusive. Wedgewood at Stallion Mtn is wonderful and within your budget.

    ETA: also consider golf courses!

I got married at The Grove. It's off strip. I loved it. Very pretty.

There is a very pretty hotel that is actually in Henderson, about 30 minutes outside Vegas. It is on a lake and they do weddings. They have some menus that fall into your budget:

My friend got married in Vegas at The Little Church of The West https://littlechurchlv.com/ The church is really cute, and they have different indoor and outdoor areas to have the wedding.

She then had her reception at the Rio seafood buffet, and they set up an area for the reception, which was actually pretty nice, but definitely not formal.

I'm getting married at the Neon Museum. I know it's not for everyone. The Smith center also looks pretty. I might do my first look and pre-wedding photos there.

I am getting married at Caesar's and planning on invite no more than 100 people. We both have a big family and are working on cutting down the list. I just began my planning and almost hitting the $10000 mark (booked Caesar's ceremony package, wedding planner and photographer).

OP you may want to research some more venues option or rethink your guest lists and budget.
