So I lerk...A lot!! And have seen quite a few people say that programs were a waste. In my case, FH and I are actors, literally having our wedding in a theatre. So I thought it would be really nice to have traditional "playbill" style programs, even having pictures and cute bios of our wedding party like they do the actors in plays.

After reading these posts, and looking over the potential price tag if i don't do it myself, I'm doubting they should be done now...PLEASE HELP

They are an extra, they arent necessary and no one will miss them if you dont have them. If you really want to them and you have the room in your budget fine, but please know most people will not take them with them after the wedding and many will probably end up in the trash.

It sounds like a very cue touch. But if your budget is tight I'd cut it. You still have time to figure it out but I'd start looking at printing costs so you have a better idea.

ETA: You could make a playbill cover poster for when people enter the ceremony and reception. Everyone will take a picture of it and that way you don't have to worry about people trashing them but you get the feel you were going for.

Have you looked at playbuilder.com? It looks like it's a $60 licensing fee, but it's super legit! There's also an Etsy store with a $15 template:

I'd hesitate to DIY just because it's so many pages and sooo much formatting!

FH and I are also actors getting married in a local theatre, and I am designing ours and planning to have them printed.
