Plating

Jasmine, on July 21, 2020 at 9:47 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10
Anyone anyone have any playing ideas? Also , the venue that I am going with provides China if needed. But their plates have a “B” on them for the company name (Blissinger chocolate factory) while our last name starts with an M. Is this tacky ? Plating 1

I honestly have never paid attention to what the plate itself looked like at any wedding I have ever been to. I can't even remember what the plates looked like at my wedding. The B makes sense given the name of the venue. I wouldn't pay more for other plates. We just had white napkins and white table cloths. Other couples will integrate their wedding colors into the tablescape via napkins, table runners, and/or table cloths.

I don’t think I’d pay more for other plates either

I can't imagine that guests would notice or be bothered by it.

I’d figure that’s the monogram of some fancy China. And it looks pretty.

At weddings the plates are usually brought out with food on them, so it's unlikely most people would notice. If you really want the look of a completely set table (instead of the tables being set with just silverware, napkins, glasses, and bread plates) before the first course is served, you could add a charger to the setting without having to replace the venue's China.

Is that what you meant by plating ideas? Or were you looking for something else?

Yes ! You hit it right on the nail. I was also thinking about having the plates already on the table and having the name of the guest Along with what meal option they will be having for that night. And add one ferrero rocher.

I have no idea about plates, but I think it is awesome that you're getting married in a chocolate factory!!
