Plates and Cutlery

Catalena, on May 17, 2019 at 3:58 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8

For our reception, we're doing a buffet type thing with pulled pork and that good stuff! Since we're doing that- plates and all of that will be set up at the food table. I know we will be doing plastic cups, plates, and cutlery. I just haven't quite decided on what color to order them in! Any ideas?

I guess it depends on your wedding colors. White is always a safe option for plates, or you could purchase gold or silver rimmed plates to match the cutlery that you choose.

I would also do white. When we host holidays for a big group we use heavy white plastic plates with some sort of decor around the rim like a silver stripe, but there are also plates with texture around the rims that are really pretty too. We also use silver-colored plasticware.

I was leaning towards white- but we'll have white tablecloths. Do you think that's too much white or am I just overthinking it?? Smiley atonished

We did white with a gold rim! Our cutlery was gold plastic and we had cups with gold rims as well! Everything else in our wedding was white. White table cloths, white napkins, white flowers, etc. I LOVED how elegant and simplistic the design was. It made the event feel very etheral and formal even though we also had BBQ with plastic dinner-ware. You can absolutely never have too much white, in my opinion!

I ordered the nicer plates, cups, and silverware in clear from Sam's Club. My napkins are going to be burgandy / wine.

I would do clear plates and silver cutlery. The heavy stuff.

We’re doing the same thing for our wedding also. We’re using plates, cups, and cutlery from Sam’s Club. Their white with silver trim.
