Planting a seed for unity ceremony

I think this entirely depends on the type of seed you are looking to plant. A tree for outside, an inside tree? I have thought about it but I wouldn't want a tree that goes outside because we are eventually going to buy a new house. Idk if you can re-dig up trees and transfer them without disturbing and killing them. Just a thought! If you picked something that stays or a possible hardy flower that can be inside maybe?

I went to a wedding where they planted a tree. Well the tree was already potted but they both added dirt from their childhood homes. It was very sweet. I agree with Angelena about picking a plant that can stay in a pot for a few years at least
