You'll just have to call around a bunch of places and see if they can do anything to help you with this. Most venues and vendors are booked 8-12 months in advanced so you'll have to see if some will give you a break. Good luck!

You could always book a local park have a restaurant do catering and have a regular salon do hair and makeup places that won't need a lot of notice to cancel or change the date.

Not sure what type of venue you are looking for, but it's always worth a shot to ask them to tentatively book you on the day you're hoping to consider but tell them if someone else comes along before you're 100% sure you know you can do that day to let them have it. Explain why you're having to ask to do this, but be understanding if they book it. You may want it on the 15th, but the 15th books, so the 16th could be an option for example. It depends on the demand of the venue(s) you like. Mine is still fairly new, so it's not fully booked for this summer yet..

Is there a base nearby with a venue that you can use like an Officer's Club? They may work with you considering that the groom is in the service.

Hey there! My Hubby and I just came from Humphrey’s there in Korea. I suggest going by his DEROS date. He’ll be able to leave up to 5 days before it. If he flyers Patriot Express he’ll be able to leave the Tuesday or Thursday the week before, and take however much leave he wants/has while in transit. So maybe you’ll be able to get a date set! Good luck!

I would just wait. My fiancé is army as well and I understand. But I am a wedding musician and I would never book a client without a date. I did it once and it was a huge mistake. If you need to get married right when he gets back maybe you could do a courthouse ceremony and have a reception later.

I would also say less formal "community centers" might be easier to book. My best friend was in a similar situation with her army fiance and had their reception at the church's gym where they got married. It was not fancy by any means, but they were able to host their guests with a meal when they changed their date SUPER last minute.

Would you consider getting married at the courthouse with a few VIPs and planning a celebration after? It may be easier to plan that last minute. I know a lot of vendors and venues get booked up way in advance.

That was the plan but we get restationed to a different state a few weeks after that, figured it would be easiest to have it all at the same time.
