Planning before Engagement

We bought the ring before he officially proposed. We had been talking about it for a while. I had talked to my sister about the ring I saw At the mall I fell in love with and one day we went to the mall and he said let’s buy your ring. Granted he didn’t officially propose for 9 months after that. During that time we talked about the guest list and looked at venues.

I was wondering why the venues I liked were all booked up 15 months in advance... Y’all not even engaged and you’re holding dates! 😂

No you’re not weird as long as you were both on the same page about it. I started researching venues before we got engaged and went it finally happened I hit the ground running. Within 1 month I had 4 vendors hired.

I definitely pre-planned!! We pre-booked our venue too. Honestly by the time we did get engaged, everything was 80% done so we have a very short engagement (which I prefer- I’m very impatient)

We crunched numbers, set up a budget and FH picked out venue before we got engaged, but we didn’t actually book anything or put deposits down until we were officially engaged. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am definitely the opposite, we got engaged in February and didn't really think about anything until November when we stumbled upon a venue. At that point we discussed timelines, and luckily they had an opening that worked for us.

I didn’t pre plan anything but I knew the engagement was coming! I also knew it would be over a year engagement. Good for you to get things done! It’s keas stressful that way

My FH and I are doing everything out of order haha. We have our date, our theme, and have started planning but he hasn't officially popped the question. Thankfully this gives us a longer engagement, which gives me time to get back into shape( leftover baby weight) haha
