Planning a wedding from another state

Can anyone give some advice on planning a wedding from another state. We booked our venue in Florida and a few months later my fiancé got offered a job in SC. We are getting married next year but I am panicking about planning this without being there in person to do it.

Living in Colorado but getting married in Hawaii. I'm a type-a, control freak and planning something site unseen has been challenging, but through a combination of letting those feelings go, and working with some amazing vendors, the process has been great so far. I highly suggest, just like everyone one else, finding a planner. Or, at the very least, if there is a vendor you have booked that you feel really comfortable/confident with/in, use their recommendations! We don't have a planner, but we have been working with our amazing officiant on finding other vendors through her recommendations and it's worked perfectly so far. Good luck with your planning!

I live in NYC and have been planning a wedding in Delaware. Every so often I pack a weekend full of vendor appointments and FH and I go down there for a day or two. This coming weekend should be my second to last weekend doing this but it hasn't been easy.

I live in Florida and am getting married in NC. My best advise would be have a good wedding coordinator. Our coordinator works for our venue so she is great about giving us any venue info needed or answering any venue related questions. Outside of the venue, she has lists for all vendors you could possibly need and she has worked with all of them so if you're looking for a specific food, she can point us in the right direction. Additionally, plan some visits throughout the planning process. I am planning a week where I can get the food tasting, cake tasting, and hair and make up trails done.
