Plaid flannels for the bridesmaids and flower girls

April, on March 17, 2017 at 11:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Has anyone bought the flannels for the bridal party for the girls? What are your thoughts on doing that?

I think matching shit to get ready in is so overdone but if I HAD to choose between flannels and the ever popular skimpy satin robe, I'd do the flannels.

I'd prefer without the monogram but that's my opinion. Last time I wore something with my name on it was for high school sports. & agreed with @laGrosera, flannels over the ridiculous robe any day. A flannel I would wear again.

I'm looking for different patterned flannels for myself n BMs for pics. I do not plan on putting anything on them but do want burgundy as a color.

    Agreed. A flannel is nice.

Old navy often has cute ones!

I'd wear it as your photo prop, but never again.

Without a monogram I could at least donate it to the needy.

I think the flannels are a cute idea but for a July wedding I'm not so sure. I imagine they will be sweating

I like flannels, but would not wear a monogrammed one outside of the photo op. I would definitely re-wear a plain one though!

I like the monogrammed idea. Instead of doing robes or plaid, I am ordering my girls a crew neck t-shirt with monograms on them. It may not be something they will want to re-wear, but it's not something personalized to my wedding and even if it's a sleep shirt, I'm cool with it! The t-shirts are in their favorite colors, so that helps too! And I'm hoping to wear them while we get ready, but if not that will be fine, too!

My best friend that got married last fall did this for us for the bachelorette party! We all went to a luke Bryan concert. She put labels on the bottoms of the shirts. We then all wore them for the day of to get ready and got some super cute pictures!

ETA: I haven't worn mine since because it has maid of honor at the bottom on the back. Something to think about! Keep it plain for people to wear again!

A plain, un-monogrammed flannel would be better than the robes/shirts, but I am not sure I would want to wear one in July, even if it was only for a little while or for a photo.

I like flannel. If I were doing this I'd do flannel as opposed to girly floral stuff. If you're in the south I guess the monogram is fine? If not just do the flannel plain.

I really want to get some from cakeworthy for me and my girls, but I know they'll wear them again.

I think these are super cute but I also know everyone in my group would wear them again, it definitely depends on the style of your girls!

I wanted to do flannels, but my girls wanted robes more. Since it's for them not me, I went with robes. I think flannels would be cute for a spring/fall wedding!
