Placecards

I would do them individually, it seems like it could complicate things to do them by couples.

If these are place cards and not escort cards, they need to be individually, as the place card tells the person the exact seat they are sitting in. For escort cards (that just tell them the table), you can go by couple.

Do individual names. Especially if you are having guests pick their dinner choices on the reply card. Assign guests to tables only and let them choose their chair.


The best thing to do if you can is have each dinner choice be a different color of card stock. They can coordinate with your colors or be unrelated. You let the caterer know how many of each is at each table and the corresponding color so that waitstaff can see from a distance without having to ask and making the service go quicker.

I’m doing all my table seating myself, so I’m doing a chart at the door with their names and sets where I’m placing them at but not sure yet if I’m doing their names on the cards too or just them numbers
