place card - one per couple or per person

jane, on October 15, 2014 at 10:57 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

We are having a photobooth and thought we would use these frames to hold the place cards (or are they escort cards?) : http://www.photoboothframes.com/photo-booth-picture-frames.php

Do we order 1 per person or 1 per couple? What about families, we plan to have about 10 kids?

Our list is at 150 so I was thinking instead of ordering 10% less, I would just put out extras by the photobooth. Do you think people would take them or should I order 135?

Thank you!

I believe they are placecards if they will be sitting on the table when guests arrive (in my opinion, a bad idea unless you have a chart or something to tell people which table to sit at). They are escort cards if they're on a table waiting for guests to pick them up and move to their table.

I'd say one per couple/family, unless you plan on having them already at the table - then definitely one for each person.

ETA: I would take mine home!

I would do one per person. Maybe with those who come as a couple put the escort information on one frame and have a way to attached or secure the other behind it (usually they fit together pretty well and could be tied together with a ribbon or something). At least thats how I'm planning on doing it (using them for the escort cards as well), it seems like it would be a bit less work. I wouldn't put them by the photobooth as people may end up taking more than their share leaving others to not get any

I think I would do one per couple. Most people are going to take pics in a group anyway, right? So the couple would have basically two of the same photos.

My plan is to put them on the table when you walk in to know what table you are at. We are having a lunch buffet so no need for special meal tags.

Should I order extras to put by the photobooth? Or order 10% less than my guest list?

We are doing one per person because the escort card will be sitting in/on our favors and we want everyone to get one.

I was trying to figure out if people would want their own photobooth frame and it doesn't sound like they would. I will probably do one for each of the kids because that's the main reason we are doing a photobooth.

I am doing Moo cards. Photos of each family on one side and table number on the other side. So my escort cards are by family (which could be couple or single if that is how they are rolling).

We did the same as Erin. They were meal indicator/escort cards, so we needed one for each.

Because you don't need meal indicators, I think one per couple is fine. We did out escort cards (just hanging tags) one per couple. Be prepared for a lot of people to leave them behind.
