Pink for Fall

Suzie, on August 14, 2019 at 8:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

Hi everyone! Our wedding date is in October of 2020, and I know the go to for fall is usually darker colors, but my favorite color is pink! Everything I pin on Pinterest has a pink theme to it. I’m loving dust rose and champagne as a combo, but am wondering if it will seem really out of place to have pink in the fall. I am also considering doing blush for my dress. I know it’s my day, but don’t want to pull a “faux-pas.” Images below for reference. What do you think?

I've always been a fan of choosing your colors based on what you want and not the season. I love pink also. I think your inspo pictures would be a beautiful color scheme!

I think this combo is beautiful and you should seriously do whatever makes you happy! One of the things that we are quickly finding out is that people will have an opinion no matter what you do, so really what’s important is that you love it!

Well firstly I think pink is amazing and you should pick any color you want. And secondly the October birthstone is opal, it’s not out of place at all.

Mine is 9.28 and I’m doing dusty rose and gold. It’s the first weekend of fall but I feel like it doesn’t really matter.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Glad to know this seems doable. And very true that people will have opinion no matter what, may as well be happy!

I think your colors should be chosen based on what you love not on a season. Choose what makes you happy.

I originally had dusty rose and navy picked out for our colors until I had my one bridesmaid try on a dress in that color at davids bridal and it wasn't that flattering.

Don’t let the month or time of year dictate your colors. Do whatever makes you happy! Those colors are really pretty.

You do a blush dress if you want, girl! A wedding dress can be any color possible. I really like your color palette!

Dusty rose and champagne would look great in the fall! I'm doing variations of pink, navy, rose gold, gold, and silver in the winter, which isn't the norm, but it's what I loved!

I'm getting married this October and I'm in the same boat as you. I knew I wanted pink but wanted to make sure it looked good in the fall (although pink goes with every season imo lol) Our colors ended up being dusty rose (bridesmaids) and dark/forest green (our mothers and some decor). They look surprisingly good together and the richness of the green will hopefully go well with the season. You can always use a deep color as an accent!

One of my BMs said she looks awful in pink, so I may do different shades of pink, like mauve. I think there is enough variation in the color that it can work for everyone! Def something to consider though

That sounds really pretty! I was thinking I could throw in a dark purple, like plum, as an accent
