Pinching Pennies

We are having 300 people because my family is huge and his isn't exactly small. We are spending the money on the venue, food and drinkservice (that's where a good chunk is going). We are saving money on the save the date cards and invitations. All I want is to make sure it has my wedding colours. Aside from that we are going to go with ones that are cheaper or on sale. We are saving money on the bouquets. Either by going with fake flowers or only having one type of flower. We are saving money on his outfit and my wedding dress. For my dress I'm planning on cap it at 500. 600 max if it's a dress I fell inlove with. He has decided to spend less on his. Also, I'm not going to spend a lot on my shoes. I'm also saving money on centerpieces and wedding favours. For the centrepieces I'm going to buy something that is cheap or on sale and decorate it to make it look beautiful. For the wedding favours we are going to cap it at no more than $2 per person. A lot of people are skipping wedding favours. I've seen that a lot so you can save money on skipping that if you like.
