Pillar candles

McKenzie , on April 4, 2018 at 6:33 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12
We are doing tallpillar candles/vases as part of our centerpieces for the reception. Does anyone know where to find them cheap? I looked at dollar tree because that’s where I’m getting the vases but all I could find were 3 inch ones and I wanted something taller.

Do you know how tall you are looking for them? Target and Wal-Mart have some listed online for $6 which are about 6inches tall. Micheal's has a 2 pack of 6inch ones for $8. Not sure how many you're looking for or how much you would consider to be cheap prices.

    I misread that! Sorry!
Watch Michael's for sales on candles. I got my 6" pillars on sale for 60% off.

Quick Candles, Yummi Candles and Candles4 Less.

Quick Candles $3.75 each for 3x6"

    Candles4 less $4 each

The key thing is to calculate price with shipping to see what your real cost is.

I ordered mine from amazon! I ended up doing a mix of pillar candles and floating candles (because those were cheaper)

I got mine from Amazon, it was the best deal for what I was looking for. I was able to get 30 2x3, 6, 9in. candles, floating, and votives. I did check candles4less, quickcandles, and another site I can't remember (sorry). I also got my vases from dollar tree. Everything came in under budget.

So I found some of the pillar candles for FREE. I used an app that have forums around neighborhoods. Come to find out, someone right down the street had unused candles from her wedding and was trying to get rid of them. I got about 20 beautiful white pillar candles I plan to incorporate.

I say all that to say maybe look around Craigslist or the app "Nextdoor" to see what's around you. You never know! Smiley smile

Other than that, I agree with PPs.

Do you mind sharing a picture of how your centerpieces will look(ed)? I like the idea of mixing pillar and floating candles, because the 8-9" candles are SO expensive!

I have one picture of the setup in my kitchen and then a few group shots from the wedding where you can kinda see them. My photographer didn't get a great shot of them directly.
