Pictures of Sams Club Cakes Please

ReadyToBeARathfon, on January 11, 2016 at 10:22 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

I searched found several threads BUT only one had one picture in it. We are doing a dessert bar as most of our family is not cake fans and neither are we. I have found inexpensive 2 and 3 tiered cakes at Sams but I want to see pictures! I have heard the taste is good but I want something that is beautiful too. Nothing grand or fancy. Do you have pictures of a Sams Club cake? TIA

Note: From reading other forums. We don't have a Publix nearby I looked. We are note interested in "renting" or having a fake cake because that is still several hundred dollars.

Their cupcakes are yummy. Basic but look nice. I was not impressed with their cakes though. The ribbon around the bottom of each tier didn't match up in the back, the fondant wasn't pulled tight... it just looked chintzy when I look through their photo book. We went with their cupcakes and sheet cake but went elsewhere for our tiered cake.

I think it varies from location to location. Go into the location that would be making your cake and talk to the baker.

There may be someone more talented or creative at your location. Or they may be more basic with designs.

I am meeting with a small local bakery and for a 3 tiered cake for 100 was quoted 225 for simple buttercreme and white cake.

Have you tried other local grocery stores? I ask because I worked for a bakery at a grocery store years ago and we made wedding cakes that were quite beautiful. You should also check out local bakers. If you get a small 2 tiered cake it might be quite reasonable.

I haven't tried anywhere else yet other than big bakers. The venue is about an hour away and I'm not sure which stores I close but I will be looking soon. I just recently got the Sams idea from these forums.

You might want to do a Google image search for "Sams Club wedding cakes." There are a lot of pictures out there.
