Pictures of Emerald Cut Engagement Rings!

I dont have photos of an emerald. However, I also dealt with cold feet with my engagement ring and wedding band. I had the exact ring I wanted picked out for a year. 6 months before he ended up proposing I sent him a direct link, full specifications, exactly what I wanted for so long. I never even went and tried on rings and he appreciated that he never had to shop lol.

I didn't know exactly when he was going to propose, but around a month before he actually did I started getting nervous about whether I had picked the right thing. It was my dream ring, I loved it online, I loved doing the little photo try-ons, but I had never actually tried anything on. I kept thinking, what if I messed up, what if I hate it, what if it doesnt look nice on my hand or its bad quality.

Luckily, once he proposed I loved it even more than the photos I saw online. Almost a year later I still stare at it constantly.

My wedding band was similar. Funnily enough I custom designed it myself, went and tried on styles but nothing like what I ended up ordering because I couldnt find it. As soon as I placed the order, the same anxiety of "what if I hate it" flooded back in. Again, once it arrived it was better than what I couldve expected.

You will love it. It's like the anticipation of looking around forever is so exciting and then once you know they've purchased or they're planning to propose that excitement subsides and you're just kind of left wondering what will happen. I think it's similar to the post-wedding blues a lot of people post about in these forums. I got post proposal blues too once we got back from our little vacation.

Echoing this. I think when you're looking around, there's always the "safety blanket" that you can change your mind or could find something better, but once you know it's purchased there's a sense of finality to it. I was the same way when FH purchased my ring (I love him to pieces, but he can't keep a secret for his life lol). I've had mine almost 2 and a half years and still love it.

I agree! I had something similar happen - I showed my now-husband the kind of rings I wanted, but after trying some of them on in stores, I changed my mind and wished I'd asked for something else! I didn't say anything as I wasn't sure if he'd bought the ring or not! I think with such an important ring that you intend to wear daily for the rest of your life, it's natural to be anxious you won't love it and that you've not chosen the right thing.

Also, one of my colleagues has an emerald halo and it is the most stunningly beautiful ring. Just GORGEOUS! Here are some emeralds to inspire you/reignite the love!

I’ve been telling myself that I should’ve gotten an elongated radiant for the sparkle but emeralds are so classic and I never had a desire for a radiant cut until after I found out he ordered. I was so torn between that and an elongated radiant cut. I told my husband he can pick the center stone. He ended up picking the radiant cut but I’m not disappointed

I never even thought of emerald cut until I went to try on rings in person...but I fell in love with this ring, and technically speaking it's a few baguettes but to me it looks like an emerald cut haha 🤷🏼‍♀️
