Picture fear - everyone looks so damn good!

Be yourself! Those are the e-pics that turned out the best for us. I also think it is important to have a photographer you connect with. Talk with them about the feel you want for your pics. Then listen to them they know which light and positions work best. Most of all HAVE FUN. A natural smile is everyone's best feature!

I would say just go into the session in a great state of mind. Do something you and FH love to do and that brings out your natural happiness. The happier you feel the happier you will look (no worries on your wedding day!! Every bride looks great there- even if their makeup isn't right/something is off... you still look radiant you just got married).

This might sound really weird but I trick myself into laughing when I feel too posed... I tell myself a corny joke so my "natural" smile happens as other people around me laugh.

And yes, there are some photos you won't love...everybody has those because (as was said) we all nit-pick but there will be some darn good ones if you hire a professional. Not to worry

I'm scared too. I've gained a lot of weight and I'm scared of what I will look like in pictures. Honestly, I've been putting off on our engagement session to loose more weight even though FH is excited about taking pictures right away. I'm keeping it real with you, but I know a professional with work with me to ensure that some beautiful shots are taken. Also, I was talking to a friend of mind who gained weight before her wedding. Her pictures are beautiful and she looks comfortable and happy. It's like FH always says "confidence is attractive and contagious". Just be confident and have fun and it will reflect in the pictures. This goes for me too

I am in the same boat! im nervous because of my teeth. ( so nervous about even talking about this!) about a year ago i got hit with my little brothers base ball bat. ouch. didnt knock out any teeth but it DID turn my front tooth a dark color. all the dentists tell me " there really isnt anything we can do"

so all my pictures will be me with a black tooth? so depressing! i cant bring myself to call yet another dentist just to hear them tell me sorry nothing we can do.

I am the least photogenic person ever, plus I blink in every picture when a flash is used. So I am super worried my pictures will be terrible.

Just remember, photographers' sites typically feature the most attractive couples. So "everyone" doesn't look that good on their wedding day--you're just seeing the most beautiful ones.

I worked out a lot for my wedding, and loved almost every single picture (the only ones I didn't love were ones I was making a weird face in). I think with so many photos being taken, it's definitely worth getting in shape. I used weight watchers, weight lifting, running, and yoga. Dropped 7 pounds and over 8 inches off my body. The differences are subtle but I can definitely tell. See engagement photo taken 07/12 vs. wedding photo taken 07/13.

Cristina, what about veneers?

If your photographer knows what he is doing they will be great. The angle of the photo has a lot to do with it and the lighting. Tell your photographer your concerns. He should be able to let you know what to expect. He may also have tips for your in working with him. I am sure you will look amazing and your photos will be perfect. Any slight imperfections can be edited (photo shopped) out later if you really need to. Discuss all your concerns with your vendor. My photographer is a friend and I was able to talk about this with him. Really put my mind at ease.

I made sure I got one with digital auto correct features. When I am happy my face likes to get this permanent blush look. I am pretty sure mine won't look as good as others, but doing my best to make them look as good as I can.
