Set a budget, go with only a few people, listen to your heart, try dresses that aren’t what you think you want or look good in. Don’t buy all the extra stuff until later - veil, headpieces, etc. book no more than 2 in one day.

I had picked out my dress online 3 months before I was engaged haha. When I finally got to try on that dress 8 months later, I still knew it was the one. That didnt stop me from trying on other dresses tho! I'm glad I did because it made it easier to say my dress was the one!
Also side note, anything with multiple layers will have higher alterations! I have a tulle dress with 5 layers. I'm glad I added in alterations when I picked my dress so I stayed in budget

September wedding here too! But I agree with what everyone else said, stick to a budget, and only bring a few people that you know will be honest with you. Remember to step off the pedestal when you're trying them on because like my consultant told me, every dress looks great when you're 6 feet tall! If you have no idea what you want, try different styles on. I quickly narrowed what I wanted after trying on a few.
