Picking out Mother of the Bride/groom dresses

Hey guys!
I need a little help here. My wedding is summer 2022 and my main color scheme is blush pink (bridesmaid dress color), soft orange, and gold. I’m not sure what color dresses would look good with this color palette and also please the moms. My future MIL is possibly going to wear black, and I was thinking a shade of green would look good on my mom, but she looks better in darker shades too. What would you suggest for a coordinating dress color without clashing with the rest of the wedding party? Thanks!

What about a gold, champagne or beige? I think a really dark green would look pretty too, or a burgundy?

They don’t have to coordinate or match. Any color of their choice that is flattering is acceptable.

This depends on your social circle; I have never been to a wedding where the moms didn't at least coordinate. Sometimes I see them wear the exact same color. Ultimately it's their choicest, but it may be a bit odd for your FMIL to wear black to a summer wedding. Some people see that as a sign of disapproval.

Your mom can pick her own dress. Whatever she likes and feel good in.

I never heard that thing about black dresses worn as a sign of disapproval, but I recently read an article that if it’s a more formal wedding, then black is acceptable.

My mum refused to wear black to ours, even though I said I wasn't bothered! I wonder where it comes from.
