Picking aisle and dance songs

I’m definitely more of a rock/alternative listener myself and I find a lot of wedding related songs are country or pop, which isn’t really us. Right now I’m thinking of walking down the aisle to the instrumental version of the Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” and possibly just doing a traditional instrumental wedding song for the girls. I’ve always wanted to have my first dance to The Ramones “Baby, I Love You” cover, but I think that will be the song right after the ceremony as we walk back up the aisle. The father/daughter dance is coming up pretty difficult, cause neither one of us can come up with much! The best one on my list is “My Darling” by Wilco. I’m leaning more towards a song that my dad and I both just love, instead of one that has deeper meaning to it because that’s more us. Just sharing a love of random music lol. My other option is “Me and You and a Dog Named Boo” by Lobo because we both love that song 😂 If only Dio had a song suitable for a first dance because me and my fiance would be all over that! We love him!

I’m a violinist and haven’t played many rock songs at weddings but the ones I did were I will follow you into the dark and glycerine. They sounded nice.

Hmm, if I go with something we both like I'm thinking either Close My Eyes by Izzy Osborne and Lita Ford or Don't treat the Reaper cover by H.I.M.
