Picking a photographer

Looking at the ones with the best ratings and then narrowing down from there based off price or style.

I would look at their profiles portfolios to see the style of photography you like in addition to pricing aha because some photographers may shoot in similar styles and narrow it down to whose pics you like and then talk to them to see who you have some chemistry with and just like

Check their social media to be sure they have recent photos. Also talk to them and see if they're professional and vibe with you.

I started by establishing a budget for photography, and my must haves, like for me, I wanted two photographers. Then I figured out what edit style I like the most and then used Instagram hashtags to find photographers. Once I found some that fit all my criteria, and had gotten good vibes from the email exchanges, I started to figure out who I wanted to meet in-person meetings to really get a feel for them. I ended up only meeting one photographer duo, and ended up booking them because we meshed very well. I know some people would meet with several before making a final decision, but it’s up to you and your gut feeling.

Definitely figure out how much you’d like to spend and decide on the style of photography you like. Read reviews and meet in person before you sign! I clicked automatically with mine and knew she was who I wanted. The photographer will be there all day and you want to feel very comfortable around them! The last thing you want is someone who takes amazing photos but isn’t focused on you and what you want.
