Picked up dress but ..

Do you have photos of yourself in your dress? I work for a bridal boutique and know a little bit about alterations, but it would help if I could see it on you if possible. 😊


I imagine if they advised you to let it out, they felt it was a little bit snug by industry standards, but if you felt comfortable and could walk, sit, etc then it shouldn’t be a huge issue.

Are you meaning to just take it out of the garment bag? If so, is there a trusted friend or family member you can take your dress to do you can take it out of the bag?

You may have to steam it, depending on the fabric. Would it be possible to clip fabric (or even a sheet, shirt dress, etc) to the garment bag to hang down in front of it so it’s not visible?

Can you leave it at a friend's house? My MOH has mine.

I agree with others. Take it to a family member of friends house and let him out of the bag to hang

Do you have separate closets? Or is it a 1 bedroom? Will he really be that interested in looking at it? And, as we know, dresses look different when they’re hanging than when they’re on anyway. So I wouldn’t even worry.

Also aren’t you going to steam your dress before wearing it.
