I’d say that’s about average. Quality editing takes time and photographers get BUSY in the peak season. Mine is 8-10 weeks. If you need photos for thank you cards or holiday cards, I’m sure they can send a sneak peek.

I think that’s average during the peak season. Our photo deadline is similar.

Agree with previous posters. We haven't gotten ours back but we got married in late July at the peak of wedding season. Quality editing does take time, and that is one reason why we selected our photographer in the first place.

For a busy photographer, I think that is pretty typical. Daughter's contract said 12-14 weeks. She got an unexpected sneak peek of 50 edited photos within 2-3 days, and her entire gallery of 1100+ photos at about 11 weeks. Agree with others, that quality editing is time consuming, so if you like the photographer's full galleries, realize that level of work takes time.

I've seen anywhere from four weeks to several months, and have had friends wait more than six months for photos (and some much longer for albums). Six to eight weeks is typical and twelve weeks is definitely not out of the ordinary. I'd be totally comfortable with 12 weeks written into my contract.

I thought that was average. But I've heard she doesnt ever get them back in the time frame she said in the contract. She told me to expect a gallery started in 2 weeks after our engagement pictures and she would have it completely done in 4 weeks. I have received nothing yet. So I'm kind of scared for my wedding
