Photos During Ceremony

Emily, on July 30, 2019 at 10:18 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggested wording for my programs regarding photos during the ceremony? I don't care if people take pictures at my wedding or post them on social media. I just want to gently remind them to try and stay out of the photographers way by not getting in the aisle or raising their phones high in the air. I'll probably have my officiant announce it as well but would also like to include it on the programs. Thanks!

"You’re welcome to take photos of your own, but please be mindful of our photographer."

Maybe something like "While we welcome your photos of the ceremony please take into consideration the photographer and the view of other guests."
I've seen people rope off the aisle as well so people are less likely to try to stand up in it.

In addition to the advice given above, having your officiant make an announcement beforehand can help!

I had my officiant make an announcement before we started our ceremony and that was super helpful.
