Photos before ceremony-rings on or off?

Hey all,

I'm putting together my photo list and hit a small bump in the road. We are doing a first look and are getting a good majority of our photos taken before the ceremony. The only photos that are being taken after the ceremony are extended family photos with aunts/uncles/grandparents, and then we are going to his grandmas for some fun photos with just the bridal party. So probably 80% of our photos will be taken before the ceremony. Do we wear our rings? I feel like if we don't wear them, when we look back at them in 30 years, it will look weird that we don't have rings on. Is it "bad luck" to wear them before you actually say "I do"?

I would suggest wearing your rings if you are doing your romantic pictures before the ceremony but not during the first look. It does save you a lot of time to get the first look and romantics done before the ceremony. I personally wanted to do that but my parents are old school and wanted my FH to see me for the first time as I walk down the isle. You can have a brides maid on sight for the first look holding your rings till after when you take your romantic pictures.

I am doing the same and haven't really thought about this. now that i am thinking about it im pretty sure we will wear our rings for the pictures since they will be the only nice and posed ones we do.

That's my thought too. Might not wear them for the first look pictures, but I think I'll plan on it for the rest of them.

When I got married we did a first look and photos before the wedding and didn't wear our rings. I honestly haven't thought about it until I read this post We got married 6 years ago, and I personally don't think it's that big of a deal. I like someones suggestion of having someone give you the rings to put on after the first look if you decide you want the rings in the photos.
