Photography contract term length?

I honestly haven't seen that before - that would be a great question to ask your photographer. Maybe it also has to do with postponing - such as, if you end up postponing your wedding to a date beyond the contract expiration date, then they can change their pricing and terms?

I would expect it would be in case of postponements, it would give them the ability to make changes or adjust to market rates factoring in inflation. I can’t imagine it having anything to do with social media, and if there is a concern about social media, you should be able to specify and negotiate that separately,

A clause like that should include a provision for you too. The finished product has to be delivered at professional level of quality and postponements by the photographer extend the end of contract. And your rights and benefits to the finished product continue in perpetuity.

Does the contract appear to be drawn up by a lawyer, or perhaps a standardized contract in the profession? I'm just suggesting things to think about.
