I’m getting ready at my apartment. Besides being somewhat empty because I’ve started moving things to my fiancé’s house, it’s also small. I’m looking for ideas on how my photographer can photograph my dress before I get ready. Many brides do the dress hanging in front of a beautiful window, but that’s not an option for me (no big window and no place to hang the dress). Any ideas that I could pass onto my photographer? I’m sure she’ll have some, but I like to come prepared.

Trust me, leave it to her. This is why you’re paying her. She is way way more likely to come up with fun, creative settings than you are to come up with one or have some random stranger from the internet who has never seen your place suggest.

Agree with Kylie- leave it to the professional. This person has probably worked in small spaces & has some fantastic ideas.

Sometimes places with moving are messy. Save one mid color blue or other non white flat sheet. If your photographer has no better suggestions, you can fold it the long way, hang it over the top of a door, with or without an over the door hook, and hang the gown with that as background.

What about hanging your dress over a door or wardrobe? I’ve also seen gorgeous pictures with the wedding dress hanging from a tree!

You can visually scout out a few options on your own, but your photographer should definitely have ideas as well based on lighting and composition!
