Help! My photographer has been IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with. We communicated pretty regularly while in the booking process, and since I’ve paid my deposit (2 months ago) she’s emailed me twice and only because I reached out. Our package comes with an engagement shoot, and i emailed her 2 weeks ago to set a date (we live away from our home state where our wedding will be and our vendors are) and she hasn’t responded. We’re trying to book our trip back home for pictures and I’m getting nervous. Should i be concerned or just understand that it’s still wedding season and she could be busy?

    Can you call her? Or maybe reach out in a different way, like through social media?

    I’d cut them some slack. You will be a higher priority the closer your wedding date gets, but for now your email is probably marked as not urgent and put on the back burner while they tend to time sensitive matters.

    Fall is the new spring for weddings! I was told September/October is the new June so they might just be busy. But I understand your frustration. Perhaps a check in phone call with a kind message would do the trick!

    I'm not super patient so I always start with a phone call then follow up with email or text to confirm/reach out again if they haven't responded within 3 business days.

    I booked my Photographer months before the wedding with a deposit and I have to say we were not in contact at all until about a month before the wedding. She responded pretty readily once I was down to a month but then when I tried to contact her a week later with a question it took her almost a week to respond back.

    I was worried but I follow her on Facebook and she's regularly posting new pictures from weddings she's working so i figure my emails aren't important at the moment.

    But I didn't do an Engagement Photoshoot, so I would call your photographer and tell her that you'll be in town on these days and you want to schedule a photoshoot. If she doesn't respond then check her social media and website to make sure she's updating regularly. If not, call her again and request a call back immediately.

    It is wedding season. She is busy Considering your wedding is a year away you still have quite some time to do an engagement shoot! Just call and leave a message and she will get back to you. I emailed my photobooth vendor awhilllle back and he legit never responded. It wasn't urgent at the time, so I will email him again soon to get my final payment to him as my wedding is coming around the bend. Sometimes emails get lost in the process.
