How long are y’all booking your photographer for? The whole day? And are you doing a first look or just the traditional first look when you come down the aisle?

Hi Brittany..ours is all day coverage. She'll get there before we start getting ready and is going to stay until the reception is winding down. We will be doing a first look. I know I'm going to be a ball of nerves and I'm looking forward to that moment together. We also hired a videographer in addition to the photographer.

    I have full day coverage.
I am doing a first look. I like the idea of it being us first and then we will take photos after since I don't have time in between my ceremony and reception.

I have full day coverage. My photographer doesn't charge by the hour. He and the 2nd shooter are coming early to get some getting ready photos and will stay through the first look, ceremony, and reception.

We had one photographer for 8 hours and a second photographer for 3 hours. The first photographer took a few getting ready pictures of the girls, zipping up my dress, a few pictures with my mom and me, etc. We didn’t do a first look. The second photographer joined us at the church for the ceremony and wedding party/family pictures after. The first photographer stayed for most of our reception. So we had the first photographer most of our day and then the second photographer overlapped during the ceremony and for wedding party photos. Our photography vendor had tons of options for wedding packages as well as purchasing services by the hour/separately. We purchased a package deal that included our photographers, several photo album options, and the option to add a photo booth for a discount.

We're doing a first look and the majority of our pictures before the ceremony minus extended family photos. We originally had our photographer for 6 hours but FH wants to add an hour.

For some reason I'm not a fan of the first look photos. I'd really like him to see me in my dress for the first time walking down the aisle.

And to save money we will only hire a photographer for before the ceremony, at it, and portraits during cocktail hour

Wedding started at 4:30, ended at 11. Photographed got there at 2 and stayed until 10 (was going to stay until 11 but things wound down and I told him he could go).

I was very very against first looks, but the day of my wedding the weather went to 💩. We ended up doing a first look and all the bridal party pictures before the ceremony because we wanted them outside. It started pouring at the conclusion of our outdoor ceremony so I’m very glad we did it that way! Not only that, but my husband and I got to spend 45 minutes together alone during the cocktail hour rather than running around doing pictures which was very nice!

I'm having our photographer for 8 hours. No first look. He can do the groom, his groomsmen, and his family at the site while my girls and I are getting ready in my hotel room. Then he'll come to my hotel room to do my bridal photos, my fam, and party. Then he'll shoot the whole wedding and reception.

I'm only having a videographer for the ceremony. Videographers are expensive and I know we won't look at the video as often as the photos. I want the ceremony so we can go back and watch it. The ceremony is always a blur for the bride and groom. I want to really see it. I want to hear us making our vows to each other. I want to watch it again on each anniversary.

We have ours for 6 hours. She suggested we do a first look to save some time later, but FH doesn’t want to do one (fine by me anyway) so we’re just having her leave about midway through the reception, which is also fine by me. But she’ll also have a second shooter which will help

We are having coverage for 8 hours. It was only $300 extra to add a 2nd photographer for the entire day. So it was an amazing deal..
We are not doing a first look, we arent fans of the idea.
The first time we see eachother will be when i walk down the aisle

We have 10 hours of coverage with 2 photographers! They are starting around 12pm, with some getting ready shots of both the guys and girls. Then we are doing a first look and wedding party photos before the ceremony. We have both photographers until 10pm that night. Our reception will end at 11pm and we are not doing an exit so plenty of time to get lots of good pics!

Hey! 7 hours is our package. We’re planning on doing a first look and family pics before ceremony. Then we will have ceremony and pics of cocktail hour (where we can get professional pics with other friends and family if needed) and then first dance and cake cutting. My plan is to get the pics i will really want and not need the photographer later at night since everyone will probably be a few drinks in and partying it up. I don’t need pictures of that 😂

Our wedding at reception was at the same locations so we only booked our Photographer for 4 hours. She got a few before and did the wedding and reception. The pictures came out nice and I'm glad it was affordable.

Were just doing the traditional first look and were doing 5 hours of photography. That will give us 1 hr of getting ready time, 30 minutes to 1 hr of bridal party pics then another 3-3.5 hrs of pics at the reception. That should be plenty of time to do our garter/bouquet toss, cake cutting and 1st dances.
