I have 4 photographers I have narrowed down my search to. How do you guys choose?! All of their photos are amazing 3 out of 4 have shot at my venue and they all seem very nice and respectful. I live in the Worcester area and they are all out by the cape so it is hard to have a meet and greet. I made a list of their prices/ # of hours and what I get with each package. Can any of my future or already married brides help?! What did you guys do

It was tough! There are so many talented photographers out there to choose from that were in the same price range..so after that I read each ones bio...asked questions about how they interact with the bride and groom (like, do they give direction and such) and see who I feel I would mesh with the most!

Do any of them offer bonuses in their packages? Engagement photos, a second shooter, an album, prints? That might be helpful in choosing. You could also divide the cost of the package by the number of hours and see who the better hourly rate would be. For us, it was important to choose someone that we could see ourselves being friends with. You are spending the majority of your wedding day with them, after all. Is there someone that you guys really hit it off with?

If you feel like they're all equally qualified and kind, I would just choose based off of price at that point! I would also read over all contracts beforehand so you can compare that as well.

    - Can you do a Facetime meeting with them if an in person meeting is not possible? We did both during our photographer search, but ended up booking the one we met with in person. The way you interact and get along with your photographer is key. They will be following you around for hours so you need to vibe with them really well. - Read all the reviews! Who has the best and the most reviews? - Does their editing style match what you want for your photos? - Based on their packages, what gets you the most for your money? Engagement shoot, 2nd photographer, discounts on prints, album, no travel fee (if they have to travel), etc.

These are all things we considered when picking our photographer.

DH is a Photography buff, so he was in charge of that aspect.

He liked one guy’s work over all the rest.

We received the pictures back 30 days after the Wedding, first thing that morning (at like 7:45 a.m.).

I couldn't decide until I met with ours in person. If an in-person meeting isn't possible for you, you might consider doing Face time, or some kind of video call. It really helped us to meet with ours, and talk with her awhile, just to be sure we clicked. It worked out really well for us!!

I would definitely go with one of the three that have shot at your venue before! Our photographer shot at our venue the weekend before our wedding and it gave us a really great experience and some neat photos.

The other thing to consider is their photo delivery date? Is it shorter or longer and are they able to guarantee a sneak peak? I love my photographer but am currently dying to get my photos back, as she has a 10 week delivery date in the contract. I didn't think about this too much before the wedding sadly.

Otherwise, I would chat with the possible photographers on the phone and see who you connect best with. It really can just come down to personality sometimes.

It is so tough to pick a photographer because there are so many out there! I'd reach out to friends/family/co-workers to get opinions. Maybe post something on facebook looking for recommendations. If you personally know someone that has used one of the photographers on your list, see how they felt about the people and maybe go with that company? consider which has the best deal, or who will shoot for the longest. I'd pick one, maybe go with the cheapest, or closest or something like that, and schedule engagement photos to make sure you like working with them.
