Photographer & Videographer?

Adriana, on December 10, 2019 at 10:09 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
What are your thoughts towards having both a videographer and photographer?

Having both can be a bit pricey but i feel like the day itself might feel like it goes by so fast that it would be nice to be able to "relive "it by looking at the video even though the memories we will hold on forever. But just wondering what are some thoughts from somebody else Smiley smile

Unless FH is against it I will have one. Nothing wrong with more memories to reflect on. I feel for sure photography is something to splurge on if you can.

We had both a videographer and a photographer and have absolutely no regrets. I wouldn't overextend yourself or cut something else from your budget for a videographer, but if you have some wiggle room, it's well worth the splurge.

We had both. The videographer wasn't important to my husband, but it was very important to me because I wanted something to look back on.

If you can afford it, I think it's great to have both. The day goes by so quickly and you'll want to be able to look back on it later! Something that sold me is knowing that I won't get to see everyone else's entrances as the bride, and having the wedding videotaped will allow me to actually see the whole ceremony.

Were having both. Its definitely pricey, but I like the idea of it. If you want to save money, maybe only get prof pics done and allocate a or two guest to video the wedding

We had both. I definitely want to relive the day by watching the video. We got a bundle deal with our photographer that actually made it cheaper than other quotes I received for just photography.

I'd want both. But I feel if you don't have budget for video then if you have good photography it's fine. The point is to capture the moments.

We had both, it was never an option not to. We 100% wanted pictures and video of the entire day.

I personally think you might regret later on if you don't have a videographer. It's one of those things that are great to have! Your wedding is only one day, so documenting it as much as possible is important!

It is absolutely worth the money to have both! The photos are so special and great to have, print, and frame. I look at my wedding photos daily! But the video really lets you relive your day. When we watched our video for the first time, there were so many things I didn't remember or even realize happened. It was also fun to see people moving around, interacting, and enjoy your day with you.

I was in both of my MOH's weddings & felt like I blinked and the day was over. It wasn't even my wedding! So I decided then that photography & videography was my top priority for my own wedding day. It is pricey, but memories are priceless. I feel like during the ceremony especially brides (and grooms) tend to "black out" from excitement and nerves and being in that one of a kind moment. So I think it's definitely worth having a video to be able to watch over and over again to relive the moment.
