Hello all,

We are supposed to get married on 10/10/20 (the Perfect 10). Due to Covid, we are planning to postpone until next May. The main reason is because we have a lot of elderly guests and out of state and country guests including the groom and in laws. We spoke to every vendor, and they are very understanding. However, our photographer is the only one asking for a 15% increase fee.

A little background, we are doing a tea ceremony for our culture in the morning of the wedding and have a Western ceremony at night. The photographer said they cannot separate the service like that, so instead of paying an extra fee, we gave up our engagement photo session and replaced with the 1 hr tea ceremony session. During this whole time, they have never even contacted us to see how does Covid affect us? We have never met the photographer either, but paid a 50% deposit. I have seen numerous pictures from their profile so we decided to go with them. Fast forward 10 months, they are now telling us they have to charge 15% extra if we postpone.

Is your vendor charging an extra fee? Any advice? Thank you!

Honestly I feel no sympathy towards my brother right now because he and his fiancee are refusing to anything to make changes to their wedding.
