For every wedding in my family, my grandma made collage frames for the bride and groom from pics of their childhood...it was part of her getting to know the mother (usually) of whomever was marrying her relative and she LOVED photographs. My grandma passed away March 2nd, and I really want to do this myself...it may sound silly, but it's something she enjoyed and I want to have some piece of her there with me.
Do you think it would look ok to have a small collage for each of us and maybe one of our engagement photos on the same table as the card box? I tried looking up decor ideas and they all seem SO BUSY with flowers and stuff all over them. Clutter triggers my anxiety, so I was thinking our card box on a round table, slightly off center, with the collages to each side and then the engagement photo (a 5x7) slightly forward of the card box angled to the side.
Does the guest book have to be on it, too? I was hoping to have that on a small podium near the entrance instead.
