Photo sharing apps

Jamie, on March 31, 2020 at 11:32 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
For anyone who has used Photo Sharing app for their wedding guests to upload photos to, which apps did you use? I know Wedding Wire and the Knot have one, but I dont love the idea of all photos being taken during a certain timeframe being automatically uploaded. And the other seemed a little too involved for people to setup. I want quick and simple setup lol. Ideas?

Facebook ruins the quality of the photos but it is the easiest way. You can also use google drive and people can upload to an album and share them with you if they have your email address.

Doing a hashtag you can just search your hashtag on social media after and get them that way!

We didn’t use a photo sharing app because, as a guest, I would never download an app to post someone else’s wedding photos. I think using a hashtag on social media is the easiest and most efficient way.

I would have to say having a hashtag would probably be the easiest

I like the simplicity of hashtags, but I like that with photosharing apps i can actually download the pictures i want (and that guests can as well).

Ok Ladies, Old Lady here! LOL. Please explain how the hashtag works. Where do they post the pic with a hashtag. If they use it, can I download it? Do I need to come up with a unique hashtag?

Our hashtag was #almostthayer and it was a play on my husband's last name which is Thayer. You normally try to create a hashtag that is unique to you as a couple. The way it works is if you were to post a photo on social media you could put the photo and then something like "Had a Great Time Celebrating the New Mr. & Mrs! #almostthayer". This way if the bride and groom what to look at photos their guests took they could search specially for that hashtag and see the photos their guests took and tagged with their hashtag.

I'm doing WeddingMix, and hopefully guests will not mind downloading the app. I prefer not to do a hashtag, because the only pics people post to instargram are the ones of themselves and their date
