Anyone using or have ever used a photo sharing app for their wedding? We’re not doing a hashtag

I think we're going to use www.veri.com. I like having all the guest photos go up to the same server automatically from their own phones. No one at our wedding is going to know how to use a hashtag; and I don't really care that much for social media.

    Following.

I'm still torn on using an app or a hashtag or anything like that. My friend used WedSocial and she said she got a lot of good pictures.

Agreed! So, Veri automatically uploads it?

Guests have to download the app onto their phones. You set the times for the event. ONLY during those times do the guests' photos upload. Also, they have a "pause" option; so if you don't want pictures being shared during a particular time (like when you're taking bridal photos or something), you can pause it. This pictures will be uploaded when you turn the event back on.

Interesting... So, I could set it for the whole day, but keep it paused till the actual ceremony starts?

I used WedUploader which isn't an app, but allows guests to upload photos and the photos are sent to my Google Drive. It's free and can be used on mobile/desktop with any browser you want. I went to bit.ly to shorten the url because it's a bit lengthy. I also had a hashtag but not many people used either one.

    Edit: Mentioned "free" twice

I'm doing a hashtag only because if anyone is going to use social media or an app, then it will be one they already have...I feel like trying to get guests to download an entirely new app just for wedding photos is too much.
Worst case they don't use a hashtag and I find them on FB or they get texted to me.

So happy I saw this!!! Was thinking of a wedding hashtags but those only work if people’s accounts are public so you miss out on a lot of pictures. Love the idea of veri, never heard of it! Is it free??

Veri isn't free; it's $69 for one event.

This worries me in that (1) my Google Drive is always full; and (2) I have had things mysterious go missing from my drive before. I like the idea otherwise though.

That's definitely what I was thinking. If you are taking "getting ready" photos, you don't want anyone to see the pictures until after your reveal!
