Photo guestbook

Kristen, on June 17, 2019 at 3:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
Anyone who has done or is doing a photo guestbook, how did you do it and did you feel like it took a long time? My MOH is worried that we may not have enough time since our guests can only arrive up to 30 mins prior to the ceremony and we are using a Canon Zink (brother will take photos with his phone and print). Should I have it out during cocktail hour as well??

We are having a photo guest book I believe but that is because that is part of our photo booth package. We have a separate guest book. However, If you are doing it this way, wouldn't your brother have time to actually enjoy the wedding? It sounds like it will take a long time to do. How many guests are you having?

We did a photo guestbook with a Fuji Instax. We left it out on the table with the card box for people to take pictures and sign at their own leisure so some signed during cocktail hour and some signed later in the evening. We made a 5x7 card with simple directions on how to change the film for our guests to follow and had zero issues. Not sure how a Canon Zink works... Is that something the guests could do on their own with a small instruction card left at the table?

He offered to do it, I never asked him to! We are inviting 140 and we will do photos based on groups like families, couples so there would be about 40-45 photos total of everyone attends

Canon Zink has an app and is Bluetooth driven, it is actually just the printer so you take the pictures on a phone Smiley smile I would be fine leaving instructions but I dont think everyone would want to download the app

We are doing a Polaroid guest book and to help with pictures we bough 2 cameras and will have them set up as guest arrive. My ceremony and reception are at the same venue so we will have the DJ make an announcement throughout the evening to remind those who haven't had a chance to be sure and stop by

We are doing one and will have it out during our cocktail reception and reception (both in the same place). We purchased a Fuji Instax and lots of film along with a cute print on Etsy explaining what to do. I’m not too worried about backup since we are only having 50 people at our wedding.

If you're not paying someone to manage it, I say keep it out all night.

I do think Polaroids would be a better idea because it is instant.

We are having a photo booth that will print multiple prints. Copies for the person(s) taking the photo and copies for our guest book. When exiting the photo booth, they place the photo strip in the book and sign it! This will be available during cocktail hour and throughout the reception.

We are also using the Fuji Instax camera. I printed out simple directions and we have a guest book and glue dots to put the photos in. We will be leaving it out all night and our DJ will remind people throughout the night to do it if they haven't already.
