Photo deadline

Meghan, on November 11, 2017 at 9:30 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18

So we were married 2 weeks ago today and still have not received my wedding photos. Normally this wouldn't seem like a huge deal except my contract clearly states I should have all of my photos by today the latest.

emailed the photographer 3 days ago to let her know how excited we are to see them and she hasn't responded. Am being crazy or should wait a few more days and go from there?

I'd wait a little while longer.

Wait until like Tuesday and then email her. A 3-5 day grace period is ok in my book

Give it a few more days and then follow up again. My contract says 6-8 weeks for completed photos. I'd be dying to see them too

2 Weeks does seem super fast, I would recommend waiting a few more days. I had trouble waiting for my e-photos so can't imagine what it will be like waiting for my wedding photos.

Two weeks is super fast. We're still waiting on ours. But if it's written into your contract....

I would go ahead and contact them and mention that it says two weeks in your contract but, that you know that's a really quick turn around time and just ask if they need more time and if you can get an idea of when they'll be done. I wouldn't wait to contact them but, that's just me, I guess.

2 weeks is insanely fast. Give her some time. I feel like her future contracts will have a different timeline in them.

My wedding was 9-3 and I still don't have my photos. We hired a very popular photog who does his own editing, so we knew we'd need to be patient. We did get about 25 sneak peek photos a couple weeks after the wedding to tide us over; perhaps you can ask for some sneak peeks if your photog needs a bit more time?

Yes I agree that two weeks is really soon but our contract clearly states all photos will be returned by 14 days of wedding date which was yesterday. Still haven’t heard anything nor have i received any sneak peaks.

Two weeks? It is usually 7 weeks, it takes a lot to edit pictures and videos plus printing, maybe he was overpromising. Just wait a tad longer, try letting him know it's no problem if he needs a bit more time.

My photographer passed her deadline by about a week. I didn't say anything because, honestly, I wanted as many great pictures as she could give us. And she reached out after a few days to let me know she was almost done. We ended up with about 100 extra photos, so worth the wait to me.

Two weeks at this time of year is insane fast and an unrealistic promise unless yours is the single wedding she's doing per month

Wait a little bit, contact them.

I think you should calm down...2 weeks is mighty quick..i mean you do want your pics to look nice right? That takes time to edit and make the pictures look nice. Let the photographer do his job

I am anxious to receive ours too, but my photog took over 1000 pics so I know it will be awhile to edit and present the best ones to us!

So I'd wait my contract says 8 weeks .. max ... I used her last weekend for family photos and got them 2 days ago (which was amazing but again it's not a wedding with 1000 pictures .. )

My friend's wedding was in late August and she still hasn't received her pics. I guess it takes a while.
