Photo booths?

Ti'Anna, on March 10, 2020 at 10:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 22

Hey ladies,

Who all is having a photo booth? How many hours are you booking them for? Are you planning for them during the cocktail hour or during the reception hours?

We were just quoted for 3 hours and unlimited prints for $575 and I'm wondering if that is long enough and if I should have it opened for the cocktail hour or reception.

I think if you had it opened for cocktail hour that would be a really great idea!! I went to a wedding where it was open during then and it was fun because we otherwise were just standing around

I had a photo booth at my wedding and I had them for around four hours. The photo booth won’t be used all the time so if you do three hours just have someone announce last call for photo booth

I had mine only in reception but the one thing I will say is people either use it more in the beginning or in the end aha not so much in between while dinner is being served

We are having it for 3 hours from 7pm-10pm. I think its more than enough time to get a few poses in.

We are having it and luckily my DJ is providing it so we get it for cocktail and reception, but if I didn't I would probably only do reception after dinner.

We had ours open for the cocktail hour and it was a big hit while people were waiting around. our photo booth offered an "idle hour" during dinner so we didn't have to pay for that hour. it started back up after dinner and our reception lasted another two or so hours and we had the photo booth open all the way to the end. it was constantly being used! ours was three hours total minus the hour for dinner and I thought it was great.

Okay, I totally agree. I think the timing is great and I'm thinking of having it during cocktail hour.

Yeah, that's an awesome deal. Our dj is actually a family friend that does dj on the side,, but he did give us recommendations to a photo booth company.

I'm going to follow-up with the company I'm planning on using to see if they offer an idle hour as well. That would probably be extremely useful.

I lucked out and our venue has an in-house photobooth! We have it all night, we get a print book and disc and they provide the props for $600!

Not bad mine is 3 hours, unlimited and $650. Not really sure also how we want to do it... Very good question to wait till after dinner so 6-9 or 5-8 mhmhm thinking after dinner would be better for my part. lol thanks

We had one! We had it for 2 hours beginning at the end of dinner. It was unlimited prints, and we also got a digital copy (as well as a hard copy) of every photo taken in the booth. They also provided the backdrop of our choice, tons of props, and the border of our choice for the strip. It was a really fun addition to the reception!

Yeah I'm doing the time debate as well. I want to make sure it doesn't take away from certain aspects of the reception.

We are. It's actually a family owned business that my boss owns. They will be there all night. Whomever does pics will get the photo strip and at the end of the night we will get a disc with all the images downloaded for our scrapbook.
