I don't think it's a bad idea. but what would you be using to take the photos with? or do you mean you're just providing the backdrop and props?

This is amazing! we did our own photo booth for our engagement party and will be breaking it back out at our other events. Highly recommend getting a "share the love" sign that people can put your hashtag right on. Also we loved having a fujifilm insta camera out at ours

Hi Tavia, I think thats a great idea. I had my heart set on one of those Mirror Photo Booths but after getting the quotes for them to only have time for 4 hours. I'm thinking about going the DIY route too. The great thing is our Venue will take care of the backdrop so we we're thinking a greenery one with roses and the neon sign as well. We've been looking up different ideas on Pinterest too that goes with our theme

I would say find a design that clicks with your theme. If anything, you could do a simple pvc pipe frame and add sheer in your wedding colors. Our wedding is at my parents' ranch, so ours it rustic/country. We are using pallets and greenery for our backdrop.

As for props, oriental trading as some cheap prop kits, or you can make your own from cardboard and cardstock paper.

I love the idea of a DIY photo booth! I found a really cool DIY on how to make your own backdrop with fencing from Lowes and vinyl tablecloths from the dollar store and that's truly what inspired my idea to do my own DIY booth. We plan on buying a couple of those instafilm cameras and a bunch of the film and letting people take pictures of themselves and each other and taking home the ones they like. I didn't think too hard about props or anything because I've always felt obligated to use the props, and its felt a little awkward. I also had an idea to set up a "memory box" next to the photo booth, so anybody that wants us to have a picture or a memory of that night, they can drop it in the box for us to look at when we're on the honeymoon.

I love this! The memory box sounds so cool! I would love to do that! I feel like DIY is so much cheaper and better because we can get exactly what we want. Also yes I’m not sure about the props either we are going to have a grass wall with a neon sign that’s says our name and est 2023 so I may forgo and skip that part. Thank you Good luck! 💜

Yes ma’am, we are gonna do the grass wall with the neon sign and then also we are going to do a light back drop with sheer white draping and some greenery on the top going across! I love the flower wall they have kits on Amazon!
