Photo booth vs Flower wall

Kodi, on April 13, 2018 at 10:40 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

I know photo booths are very popular now, I enjoy them too. But I was thinking about making a fake flower wall for the outside ceremony for behind us and then bring it inside after the ceremony and people can even take pictures in front of that. ( maybe supply a few props??)

I reallyyyyyy love flower walls, real or fake. What do you guys think? I mean $200 vs $800-900. ( a lot of DIY youtube videos for cheap flower walls) Just curious as to what everyone's thoughts are about this!

Get the photo booth. There's a reason they are more expensive. You actually get a series of pictures for the guests to take. Most will also put together a memory book for the couple.

    Love this idea.

I saw a huge paper flower wall at a wedding expo I went to and thought it was different and cool. The cost savings definitely helps make the choice easier. And repurposing it from ceremony to reception is a good idea.

We skipped a photobooth too, in favor of something more unique, a caricature artist. Saving about $500 made the choice a no-brainer for us Smiley smile

Get the photo booth! They're much more interactive and a lot more fun for younger guests.

I love the flower wall idea. I like that it does double duty as a ceremony backdrop and then a photo backdrop. It adds more to the decor/feel of the space. You also don't need to worry about hiring a photo booth attendant or dealing with people who don't know how to use the machine. There's something that feels too corporate about a photo booth to me.

If you love flowers wall, do it! My FH and I bought a photo backdrop on wish that actually looks good in person, and we are using that with a few props and a special chair as our photo booth! We bought a Polaroid camera and will be asking guests to take a picture with it to put in our guestbook. We will also provide selfi- sticks for guests to use to take pics with their own phones.

I knew I wanted a flower wall for sure and a photobooth is on the bottom of our list depending on the final amount of guests we have. I was able to find a rental flower wall for $150. Also, you can buy the flower mats from aliexpress or Michaels as they have them too. You could make one from dollar store flowers....if the price affordable enough you could do both. You can sell the wall later or rent it out so you would make your money back.

We will use our flower wall for the ceremony and if we have an open air photobooth the flower wall will be the backdrop.

Also all the pictures I have taken in the photo booth have ended up being thrown away, I feel like people who take a picture in front of the flower wall are likely to post it on social media rather vs a little print out of pictures that you don't really use for anything?

Yeah, I would opt for the booth, too.

Ours was only 120/hour and came with an attendant, 2 strips for each "session" and we get digital copies of all photos!

My cousin had a flower wall at his wedding with 2 instant cameras that guests used to take photos and stick the photos in their book. It was a lot of fun and a cool alternative to photo booth.

I went to a couple weddings that had either/or. The ones with the photobooths were always packed, the one with the flower wall to take selfies was not even used. I prefer something to take my picture because my selfies are never good Smiley smile
