Photo Booth Strips Wording

Amber, on July 3, 2017 at 11:08 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

I just booked the photo booth for the wedding and the attendant told me to start thinking about what I want the picture strips to say at the bottom. I know that most wedding things are personalized but I don't think I really want the photo strips to have our names and date at the bottom. I want my guests to love the photos they take and want to keep them and we all know a lot of personalized wedding things eventually end up in the garbage or tucked away somewhere. What can I have them say at the bottom that celebrates the day without it looking too personalized?

I wish I could give you good line but I'm in the same boat.

    Maybe just date & location?

ETA: We got a personalized shot glass once with the couples name & date on there. We still use it because.. it's a shot glass!

And photobooth photos won't be going in albums or frames regardless of names & dates on there.

I always put date & location on even facebook photos Smiley tongue

Maybe just the date? I'm not sure. But I'm with you, I don't really want everything to have our names and dates (like for our BP gifts) because I want them to continue to wear/use it

OK, this is just my opinion... We had a photo booth (loved it!) and put our names and the date and location at the bottom. I don't think these photos are the type that people are going to frame or keep out on their nightstand. These are just for fun and to remember the great time they had at your event. So, to me, I feel like having your info on it will help them to remember which event this was at (because Lord knows we all use photo booths these days, so probably easy to get all of your photo strips mixed up!). Again, just my thoughts!

You don't want to put your name on it because you want your guests to look at them and not remember you? You think they'll frame them and treasure them as priceless pieces of art if your name isn't on it? No. Whether or not your name is on it, when they look at the picture they'll think "that was such a fun wedding with Jack and Jill!"

Maybe put a short quote that has to do with love? "Love, laughter, and happily ever after" or something.

The ones I have gotten had names & date on them. I don't mind that because I will put them in a scrapbook type thing just for memories of what FH and I did.

My FSIL's wedding had a photobooth (which prompted our needing one). They have their names in their colors and the date. Its tasteful and I think warranted as it was their wedding we got them from. She also gave me copies of all of the photos I wanted without that (the company gave her a flashdrive with them). I see nothing wrong with your names and the date and even the location.

I like when the bride and grooms name and date are on it. It reminds me when and where we took it.

I feel like this is the one exception to the personalization rule. It's nice to see the date it was taken and whose wedding it was! If guests hate it, they can clip that part off later (something you can't do with most personalized items!)
