Philadelphia Bridal Shop

Samantha, on January 23, 2019 at 11:45 AM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 7

I'm finally starting to look for my dress, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice bridal shop in the Philadelphia area. I'm looking for a dress under $1000. Also I wanted to bring 10+ people. Is that too many? I'm not worried about having too many opinions, because I know what I want. I just want to have a fun day out with the people connected to the wedding. Is 10 people too many to fit into an appointment?

Some bridal shops have rules about number of people. When you schedule am appt somewhere I would ask if there's a limit to number of people you can bring.

10 is WAY too many people...opinionated or not, there is rarely enough space for that many people and your goup could likely interfere with the experience other brides are hoping to have during their appointment.

For my daughter, she brought only me...it was a special time for us. Had she wanted more that would have been fine but based on the salons we visited I wouldn't have considered more than three or four.

BHLDN has a store on Walnut street by Rittenhouse Square. They have a lot of really nice dresses under/around $1000. They are a division of Anthropology.

The store is pretty small (at least the one here in DC is) so 10 people might be a little much. I only brought my mom and my best friend/bridesmaid to my appointments with me. 10 is a lot of people. I would stick with very close friends and family.

Agnes and Edmunds is the best. They are outside of Philly.

If you're thinking you'll have multiple appointments, maybe you can bring different people to each appt? Or just bring your truly nearest and dearest shopping and the rest can join you for fittings! That way you're not overwhelmed with opinions but they still get to see the dress before the big day!

As far as salons, I've heard good things about Lovely Bride and The Wedding Factor.

Also, if you really want to bring a bunch of people, I know Sposabella outside of Philly will let you rent out the place for a fee and you can just take over the salon! They have great selection but idk what their price looks like. We got my mom's MOB dress for my sister's wedding there and I'll be having an appt there the end of Feb.

I had a wonderful experience at The Wedding Factor in Philly. Iris was my consultant and she was fantastic to work with. They have a nice range of dresses - all at different price points. It's a small store, though, so doubt having 10+ people would be allowed. When I went it was just me and my mom and we went more for fun to get an idea on what styles I like on my body. I'll definitely be going back when I decide to shop more seriously, and hopefully next time I'll be saying yes to the dress!

You can try bridal shops in Jenkintown (Pa), Ardmore (Pa) and David's Bridal for your dress. I don't know how many people they will allow at your appointment but you can call them to find out.
