Petticoat or hoop skirt?

I always get great advice from you ladies so I thought I'd ask for your opinion regarding volume for my dress.

I think I'm pretty happy with the overall fullness of the dress, however i wish it were a little puffier on the sides. I'm pretty content with the front and back (if that makes sense).

What kind of underskirt do you think would be best for this dress? I am completely lost and have no idea what to get. Not going to lie, the idea of a hoop skirt freaks me out a little bit.

I was thinking if I get an underskirt plus my heels, I may not need to get alterations as everything else fits perfectly.

    First of all, wow! That's a stunning dress.

    I've never worn a hoop skirt, but personally I feel like it may be more comfortable than adding a petticoat? I hate having a bunch of heavy fabric around my legs (especially tulle) and I feel like a hoop skirt would keep everything away from your legs and give them room to breathe under the dress, if that makes sense.

    sitting is a challenge but easier when u only stand. Could also add weight
    tulle/petticoat
    hot heavy but u can sit

    I'm planning to wear a hoop with mine. A petticoat just doesn't give enough poof to a big ball gown, I think.

    I think you need to try both on to see how they work with your dress. BTW, I wore a hoop many years ago and don't recall having a problem sitting.

    A hoop is nice because it keeps everything off your legs
