Personalized Napkins...Yes or No??

Mandy, on August 21, 2016 at 8:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20

Havent been to a wedding in a good while. Are personalized napkins still a thing or are they another "tradition" that has dwindled away through the yrs?

We're having them during cocktail hour, bit not for dinner because they don't really go with the formality

They're a thing but they're a waste of money that goes right into the trash. I was considering it but decided to put the money somewhere else.

They are an unnecessary expense. I don't see them much anymore.

Not worth it. Use the money toward something that isn't going to get thrown away.

I never even considered it. I don't see the point in paying extra for something that gets crumpled up and thrown away.

We are having them only because FH wants

them otherwise we wouldn't have bought them. They are really cute but I think expensive.

The venue package we booked includes them but i'll probably use the money they gave us for that for something else. No one will miss them if they aren't there. I'll probably use the money allotted for the napkins for toasting flutes or something.

You're literally throwing your money in the trash. Nobody is going to notice if the napkins are personalized or not.

I think its a waste of time and money but if it will honestly make you happy then do it. Its your wedding.

I wanted them. I waited until I found them on sale though.

If you are on a tight budget I would skip them though.

    We got 400 for around $50? I think? I don't remember exactly.

Waste of money I say, we put the money toward open bar instead and have zero regrets. Went to 9 weddings in the past year ranging from backyard to over the top fancy and only saw them once if that helps

We got them, they are actually arriving tomorrow! The Knot was having a sale and we got them super cheap! They were like 13 cents a piece. We got them for the cocktail hour and for the bathrooms.

We got them, cocktail size for the bar and luncheon size for the cookie table. We got a really good price. It didn't sound like our venue supplied them for the bar and I hate when the condensation from the glass drips on me when I'm holding a drink, so I wanted them. I think they're really the only frivolous thing we bought, so I don't feel too guilty.

We got them. We had some coupons to use and we got like 150 for $20 so not bad. I really like them but they aren't really a necessity.
