Personalized Koozies: Into It or Over It?

Lynnie, on July 31, 2018 at 11:05 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 107

How do you feel about personalized koozies as wedding favors? These have been a wedding staple for awhile now - but they're starting to get pushed out of the top spot by favors that are edible and disposable. Are you still into them, or are you over it ?

I'm over them, and feel they are not very unique as opposed to favors guests will actually remember. I'd rather see a mason jar or a shot glass with the couples name and date vs a Koozie I know we'd never use. ever. It's especially true for couples who want to save on their wedding day or are on a budget, get something better. Side note: if you love Koozie's, more power to you, it just not my cup of tea.

We're doing personalized koozies in place of place settings since we are doing a buffet style dinner. They're super cheap, we collect them and know many of our friends do as well and they fit our rustic style venue.

Over it. We have so many koozies it’s ridiculous. I don’t need any more. Especially with other people’s names.

This is soooo tacky to me. Not into it at all. My guests r coming to a wedding not a ball game.

So over this trend! Sorry if I offend anyone but no one needs another koozie that says “to have & to hold & to keep your drink cold” that they’ll be shoving in their junk drawer.

I would literally never use one of these. I do not understand why they are a thing.

Over it, but my parents bought them for us because they really liked them and wanted them. They're more personalized than "to have to hold and keep your beer cold" (yuck) but they don't have any lame saying on them.

I wouldn't spend my own money on them, but since we have them I'm not going to not offer them. They will be in a basket at the bar for anyone who wants one, since we have bottled beer, and quite a few people in our crowd will actually take and use them. We also have a cookie table for edible favors so I'm not worried. We live by the beach, koozies are a staple in our beach bag or when we go float down the springs so we know some people will take them and if not, oh well.

Over it. Neither my FH or I are big drinkers, only occasionally, like a few times a year, so they're totally useless to us.

Into it only because it's a thing in FH's circle of friends. It's fun to go to parties/bonfires and everyone has koozies from each other's weddings. Plus I remember people's anniversaries lol

I still think they're cute, and we can never have enough koozies. I think they're best if you're serving canned or bottled beer (bottle koozies would be even better - we only have a couple of those). We weren't, so we didn't have any.

I'm on also on team "you can never have enough koozies"! As a wedding favor I'm still into them!

Was never into them in the first place. I don't use koozies and my hubby says if you need a koozie you're not drinking fast enough, lol.

Maybe it's a Texas thing Smiley atonished but, yeah, koozies are staples down here! I can appreciate the people the think it may be tacky, but I think you just have to know your group of people. In our circle, koozies are a great thing to pull out at a party or bonfire and reminisce about the fun times at "so and so's" wedding. And, also, the anniversaries! Such a great way to remember all the dates.

I got lucky with having a screen-printer for a sister-in-law so she is actually gifting us the koozies as an additional favor. Smiley winking

ALSO (Now I'm on a koozie-rant!) - There are quite a few other uses for koozies. They make great door holders, especially on carpeted floors, you can use the to store nice glassware in so it doesn't get dusty or crack, and my personal fav, put some inside your car cupholders! Not only does it catch all the condensate from your drink, but it helps skinnier things (like water bottles) fit in and not rattle around. I carry almost anything I'm drinking in a koozie - mostly cuz I don't like my hands cold!

    Anyway, just some koozie-food-for-thought! Haha!
