Hi Weddingwire family;

Please help I'm feeling a little frustrated and use the voice of a fella Bridezilla, or at least a understanding Bride.

I received a text today from my violinist who cancelled performing at the wedding because he believes he will be traveling. He didn't even have the decency to call just a random text. It was difficult to find him in our area and now we are 104 days out and he cancels. OK on to problem number 2...I have kept my wedding very quiet because we want it to be relatively small and can't invite everyone. An old co-worker who I admit I've known for a very long time called today, she's a minister.....long story short "she doesn't understand why I didn't ask her to perform the ceremony because it means a lot to her and she's been praying with me for years etc etc etc," which I said of course you can...then she wanted to know if her husband is invited. UUUUUUGH this is why I didn't tell many people about the wedding to start with and why it isn't on any of the media sites.

thanks I really just wanted to scream silently...Anita

    1. I'm so sorry! That is awful he did that. I hope you can find another. Maybe look at local college music programs?

    2. Did you already have an officiant booked or did you still need one? It seems very weird for her to reach out to you after she clearly wasn't invited.

    I had spoken with a woman to officiate the wedding and I let her know this... but she feels our friendship should have been considered. Unfortunately I hadn't thought of her when initially planning the ceremony.

    Sorry about the violinist. I am a violinist and would never and have never done this. Hopefully you can find someone soon.

    This is exactly why you don’t ask friends... ugh! I’m annoyed for you that she guilted you into officiating and then adds her husband! She is not invited as a guest, so I would say No. She is not considering your friendship by adding more guests, or by putting you in this position. Sorry to hear about your violinist, how rude!! Hoping you can find some other alternative!
