Penthouse after party

crystal, on February 9, 2014 at 11:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

Hey ladies! Has anyone done or planning an after wedding party to be in a Las Vegas Penthouse? If so how did it go? I know for a fact so many of our friends/family are going to want to continue the party and not sure if I should stick to a local bar or rent a penthouse w/ a pool table and such, looking over the city and have it there. Something I just thought of so no solid plans, any after party ideas will help out! Thanks Smiley smile

What time is your wedding at? I'm getting married in LV. Our reception will prob end around midnight. I thought about having an after party in our penthouse but I decided against it since it will be a long day and I don't want to have to kick anyone out when I wanted to go to bed. I'm opting for a Sunday brunch pool party since our wedding is on a Saturday.

I frequent LV a lot and I've hosted several parties in my room before. There is typically a noise ordinance around 10pm in all the hotels. Security had broken up many of my parties in the past due to loudness.

Where are you getting married at?

Weeelll... I was kinda just jumping around on the planning, We haven't picked a final place yet haha seems like most end at 10 though so I was just wondering of good spots to do afterwards.. (you would think I would know since I lived their most of my life) but there's almost too much to think about or maybe something I haven't thought of. I had thought about doing a brunch and/or cabana for the day after but of majority people leave Sunday I'd rather spend what I can with them on the wedding night. Where are you getting married??

The M Resort. I love the strip view!

Where have you looked? Are you local? How big is your guest list? And your budget, if I may ask? I looked at a bunch of places before deciding.

If you want to do a penthouse reception that goes past 10pm, the Palms is okay w parties past 10. They have a penthouse that holds 70 ppl.

I'm getting married at Stallion Mountain Golf Course ... after our reception ends, everyone will be coming back to the hotel (East Side Cannery) to party with us.

Do you live here in Vegas? If not, I live here and can help point you in the right directions.

I was local and then moved to Fl over a year ago.. we got engaged right before leaving so I've only been out once to look. The M resort looked amazing online! I didn't get a chance to look at many..we were hoping something more off the strip with a pretty view, kinda like a country club. I want the out of towners to see there's more to vegas then just the strip.. for the wedding part, however the after party think it would be fun to show them the strip or some local bars.I have heard The Palms has amazing penthouses so I'll prob look into that. Our guest list will be kept around 100 and hoping to keep it around 20,000 or Less.

I was looking into Wedgewood , Bears, Red Rock Country Club..Haven't seen any of these but looks like they are closer to what I'm looking for.. We want a more laid back FUN wedding.. and unfortunetly, I've had this idea for years until it got super popular on pinterest was having the BM were cowboys boots and have a more rustic vibe to it.. now I'm not sure which way im leaning towards as far a decor and theme.

Wedgewood is awesome. Not too far away and the Cannery has an awesome view of the strip and downtown from their lounge near the top floor of the hotel.

Um ........ Las Vegas Country Club was pretty amazing when we looked at that as all. It's right behind the LVH (former Hilton on Paradise).

I work at The RoadRunner and we have a lot of people come up after weddings and stuff because of the outside patio to party on ...

The main reason we chose Wedgewood is because of how awesome their packages are and when you pick a package, you can add or remove anything. It's almost all inclusive and they help with EVERYTHING pretty much.

One of my friends got married at Bears Best and it was stunning.

Yes! Las vegas country Club I saw online and looked perfect.. It was just hard to tell cause there were no reviews on it or many pictures, some pictures made it looked dated.. But I love the idea of having an outdoor patio and that you can still see the city lights. I just can't wait to see most of these places in person..It blows my mind to spend so much money to have something for only 4 maybe 5 hours,

Honestly, we fell in love with LVCC but the girl we were dealing with was a raging B so we instantly decided against them. It was sooooo perfect though. When are you coming out to look at venues?

What's nice about WW is there are floor to ceiling windows, and an outside area. There are also 3 ceremony sites to choose from. It's gorgeous. And little bunny rabbits everywhere!

Check out Commonwealth in downtown. It's off the strip and has a peek do the downtown lights. It a bar that has cool eclectic vibe to it.

Have you started looking at vendors? May I recommend DJ Mike Fox as a DJ. He has great reviews and is priced well. I'm using him for our wedding. Also- photog Adam Trujillo. I'm not using him because he was booked on our day. I was so bummed when I found him only to find out that he wasn't available.

Good luck! And I'm happy to help if you need any.

Sorry to hear about lvcc .. Service is everything! When's your wedding date? No idea when I'll be out, our original date was this October now it'll be October next year.. It's expensive to fly out and we might be moving to Utah in Aug so it'll be a lot Easier to plan.. a Utah wedding would be beautiful but it's more convenient to have it in Vegas for everyone

I don't live in LV but I frequent there quite a bit. I live in LA so we drive up for the weekend when we want. But I know what you mean about the expense that it creates. I get comped rooms but I still spend so much when I'm there.

If you can find it in your budget, I highly suggest getting a planner. Let them do all the research for you since you aren't there. And they will also negotiate prices for you. It's the best investment I made for this wedding. My planner is Simply Wedding by Brit Bertino. She has great review on WW. Check her out!
