Pennsylvania Honeymoon

Hi ladies and gents! My fiancee' and I are one of the many couples that has postponed our big celebration until 2021. However, we live in Pittsburgh, PA and would still like to do something on the cheap and small after we still say our 'I dos' on 10/10 this year. Has anyone decided to stay local for their honeymoons? Any suggestions? We wanted to try Nemacolon but the price is just not within budget since we still want to do a big honeymoon after next year.

I grew up 45 minutes outside of the city, but I will say it depends on what you are looking to do.
Ohio Pyle is absolutely gorgeous and Falling Water is nearby. Lake Erie is only 2-3 hours away and is absolutely beautiful.
You also have Seven Springs near by. Plenty of camp grounds, potentially with cabin rentals. My friends did their honeymoon in Cooks Forest up past clarion.

Thanks Mindy. Yes, I have through of Falling Water and the like. Seven Springs is a good idea and I have never been to Ohio Pyle. i'm not opposed to camping. Maybe a cabin or something. Thats a good idea. Thanks for the info and I'll start looking into these further.

The Omni at Bedford looks like a nice resort for a getaway and I know people who have taken anniversary trips there. There are also some places near Lancaster I think.

Yeah. I’ve been out of state except for visits since the summer of 2012.
They don’t have nearly as many of those options here in coastal Virginia. At least not that I’ve found.
