Pearl centerpiece

Brittany, on August 29, 2019 at 3:40 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

I was thinking of having a center piece like this for my October 2020 wedding. Has anyone had this? Any tips or tricks you can share. I read online you have to buy translucent water gel beads to get the pearls to float.

I love these! My mom made something similar to this (picture below), but it just doesn't go with my rustic themed barn wedding Smiley xd

I want to do floating pearl centerpieces, but my own research deems it too expensive lol

Yes, you'll need the water beads. I priced all that out and ended up with something a little more fallsy, but with the same feel. I'm adding more of the acrylic ice and moving the roses to the base with the votives on the outer edge. Itll make the Rose's more like a ring at the bottom of the vase.

About how much did it cost? Is it the water beads that are expensive?

The flowers are lings moment. I'm using all burgundy tea roses for the centerpieces. Here's the flowers I'm using for bouquets and boutonnieres. The eucalyptus stems are from Amazon and look awesome. I'll just get dried fillers when I'm ready to design everything. My sweetheart table runner is a eucalyptus vine from hobby lobby at 50% off and I'll wire some of the leftover bouquet flowers onto it.

I used these https://www.dollartree.com/floral-hydration-clear-gel-beads-114oz-jars/167288 from Dollar Tree for the water beads, and it worked great.

On Amazon with the floating pack it was about $8.88 per 1IB bag single color of multi sized no-hole Pearl's. For me that would've been around $217 just on Pearl's and water beads, nothing else. I ended up switching my centerpieces to be more fall like and scored big at Joanne's fabric!!

Wow, that is a lot! lol Who knew something so simple would be so expensive lol I was also thinking if trying to make one of those flower balls and put in on top of a tall glass vase.
