Pear shaped engagement ring

ChampagneDream, on November 7, 2013 at 10:20 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

Hi girls- any of you have pear shaped e rings? I have a 1.5 ct pear with baguettes on either side. Not sure what to do about a wedding band. I would like something that I could wear alone if I wanted to leave my diamond at home

Thanks!

I guess I just don't like the look of a ring that doesn't sit "flush" to the e ring. Didn't know if anyone had any good ideas of what to do.

This is a pic of mine... you can see how a band wouldn't sit against it

Mine is pear shaped and I am going with a straight band even though it won't sit flush when together.

There are bands that have a curve in the middle but they would look strange alone IMO. Or the wavy ones, which I decided against as well.

I'm in the same boat as you. I will most likely get a straight band. Do you have a picture of what you're going with?

So, I don't have a pear-shaped ring, but my ring won't sit flush against a straight band. I knew it wouldn't when we had it designed, and I didn't care because I was not planning on wearing my engagement ring after we were married.

But now I'm in LOVE with my ring, so I'm going to have to make a decision soon about what wedding band to get. I honestly might have one that sits up against the ring. It'll just have a very small wave in it, which wouldn't bother me too much on its own. Additionally, I could just sort of twist the ring so that the wave part was not on the top of my finger when I wasn't wearing the engagement ring.

Posting a pic of my ring to see the shape. (Not as dramatic as yours, Jessica)

Mine is pear shaped also with a super thin pave band. I wound up getting a band to curve around it and then another straight pave band to wear separately.

Champagne dream. The image of the ring you posted is our image. If it was our ring that you actually have, a straight sided wedding band will fit. We design all our rings to fit straight sided bands. So if you have a ring from another jeweller who has made this impossible as many jewellers do, please get in contact with us, and we can remake the setting of your engagement ring so it can fit a straight sided wedding ring as you want. I agree with you.... Why do these other jewellers make these rings this way as it really is quite dumb of them. Let us know and we would love to help.,best regards Scott Anthony www.PureEnvy.com.au
